Instructions for downloading and installing kAuction.exe main program update (make sure kAuction is closed, and do not rename the downloaded file) 1) Click the link for the new file 2) You should be asked if you want to save the file or run it, choose 'Save' 3) You should be then given a view of your computer's file system and asked where you want to save it to 4) Find the folder named 'Program Files' on the list and double-click it. 5) In your Program Files folder you will see kAuction's folder, double-click it. (If you don't see it, make sure you are looking at your hard drive's directory, double-click 'My Computer' to make sure you are looking at all of your directories. Find the local hard drive (usually C:\) and double-click it. Repeat steps 4 and 5) 6) kAuction's directory should now be open. Choose 'Save' 7) You will be asked if you want to overwrite the existing file, choose 'Yes' 8) If it won't let you overwrite, you will have to save it elsewhere and then move it to kAuction's directory after deleting the original 'kauction.exe' Some users may have a download manager (such as RealDownload) that will automatically save the file to a directory that you have set aside for downloads. If that is the case, you will have to download it and then move it to kAuction's directory after download is complete. How do you move a file? Here are two ways: 1) Open two window's explorer screens, by double-clicking 'My Computer' on your desktop twice. You now have two views of your computer and it's files. In one, find the file you want to move. In the other find the place you want to move it to. Then click the file you want to move. Hold the click down, and drag it to the new destination. 2) Open one window's explorer screen, by double-clicking 'My Computer' on your desktop. Find the file you want to move. Right-click it and choose 'Copy' Find the location you want to move it to. On the destination folder, right-click and choose 'Paste' (Note: you could choose 'Cut' then 'Paste', but be careful. Make sure you do not use the window's clipboard until you have pasted the file where you want it, otherwise it will disappear when the clipboard gets used for something else)
