Will kAuction import the auctions I have running now?

No, it will not automatically import current auction information. The database is built around items... items that you are selling at auction. So, in order to have an auction, there must be an item in your database to "attach" the auction to. If any other software package says that they will import current auction information, the database is built incorrectly. I am not guessing on that fact or making it up in order to scare you... it's a database design fact.  Will the other software developers' incorrect database design hurt your business?  Maybe not...but if they can't even design a database correctly, how can you trust your auction information to them?  This is a science (computer science) and like it or not YOUR business depends on it.

You can hand enter them by adding the item first to your database, then enter auction information about it. Or, simply, let the auctions you have running now, expire. But as soon as you get the software, start ALL new auctions through kAuction.

Can I bulk upload auctions with kAuction?

Yes.   Mark as many items as you want for bulk upload.  Then, you can start the COMPLETELY automated listing of ALL your items with a few clicks!

Can I use eBay photo hosting with kAuction?

Not really. It's eBay that decides the picture names and assigns them to your ad when you use their service. Plus you have to upload them when starting the auction, they delete them when they want to, and they charge for multiple (more than 2?) pictures. Trust me, you want more control over your pictures than they provide. It's simple to find and setup an FTP account if you don't have one. Then YOU control the pictures. You can upload them at any time, upload as many as you want, delete them or save them indefinitely, etc.  See the picture help page for more information on pictures/FTP.

What about updates? How much are they?

They are free. And guess what else? I run auctions, so I will find out about changes quicker than the other developers do. If eBay changes something, check the web site and see when the 'fix' will be done. Usually it's already done, or done within 24 hours of the change.

Will it work for Mac?

No Mac version. Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP are currently supported. (NT works too)

Will it work for eBay Motors?

No. They have a completely different set of rules for auction submittal. It can't list the item for you... HOWEVER, it can manage the auction once it's started. That means it can get high bidder info, leave feedback, email customers, etc.  It will even build the auction HTML for you.  See the help file's FAQ section that comes with kAuction to find out how.

Will it work for Adult listings?

Can it list the same item again?

Sure. List an item again in seconds. Find ANY item in your database and list it at ANY TIME. kAuction stores the item information (description, pictures, etc.) forever, so relisting an item has never been easier.

Can I use my own HTML?

You CAN use your own HTML. If you have an existing layout that you like, simply enter the HTML directly into the item record's description field. Then when you start an auction, click 'Own Description' when you go to submit the auction information, kAuction will use your HTML instead of building it for you.

Does it work for eBay stores?

Yes.

Does it work for AOL email?

Yes it does. kAuction will not be able to send the emails through AOL, but that is not a problem. Set up your email to work with kAuction or simply paste the email message that kAuction generates into your AOL email box. See AOL email help for more info.

I use Netscape as my browser, will kAuction still work?

Yes. It does not matter which browser you use, as long as Internet Explorer is INSTALLED. It does NOT have to be the default web browser.  You should always have the latest Internet Explorer installed on your computer even if you don't use it as your default browser (because many software developers use some of it's files to interact with the internet)

Will kAuction launch ads for me at a specific time?

No. You have to be online and start them manually.  But, with bulk upload, this is simple.  Prepare them all in advance and then start the bulk upload when you want to.  After starting bulk upload, go on about your life and let kAuction worry about getting all the items submitted for you.
